"Just wanted to give some positive feedback for Stu who was at our Abraham Moss Health Event yesterday!
Stu was absolutely brilliant, he arrived on time and got everything setup really quickly to be ready for the crowd of kids waiting to get into the Sports Hall for the Circus Skills Workshop and he stayed right until the very end of the event and overall throughout the afternoon Stu managed everything really well and kept it high energy to entertain everyone taking part and all the kids had a great time so thank you! " Mr Sensible was fantastic. The children were captivated and found his show amazing and hilarious! His methods of teaching the basics of scarf juggling and feather balacing ensured that all children succeeded and were engaged. The variety of equipment he brought was vast and the children really enjoyed the opportuinity to try so many different skills. A brilliant morning - thank you! “

“ Overall, the experience was a great one! Feedback from staff and children was that the workshops were excellent and everyone enjoyed learning new skills. The Big Top show itself was a hit with the younger children but some of the older children thought it was a little young for them and they wanted to see more ‘tricks’, such as plate spinning etc. Many thanks for visiting us!”

He worked tirelessly throughout the day and was amazing with the children. I could not recommend him high enough to any other school. Please could you pass on our thanks to him, the children are still talking about him and asking when he is coming back "

The Science of Circus

"Complex tasks such as juggling produce significant changes to the structure of the brain, according to scientists at Oxford University.
In the journal, Nature Neuroscience, the scientists say they saw a 5% increase in white matter - the cabling network of the brain." In brief, learning a new skill such as Juggling can hard wire our brains to work better and faster! Circus skills help develop and improve concentration skills. This is particularly evident in those children with shorter attention spans. When we run Circus skills workshops in schools the teachers are often amazed that one or more children who usually have a problem concentrating are doing better than anyone else in the class! Learning Circus skills also offers great benefits in terms of physical co-ordination and physical fitness. Circus workshops fit very well into the school curriculum under PE and co-ordination development. In fact there are many areas where Circus workshops offer great opportunities for curriculum enrichment.
